What music will my DJ bring to my event?
Florida Party Productions has a passion for music and we have over 80,000+ song titles in our music library. Our state of the art system allows for near instant access to all 80,000+ titles. We subscribe to several music services that provide the latest hits every single month, often we have what will be the next #1 hit song before it even charts. Our music library spans over seven decades, includes all genres, and we have the hits from each and every one, so regardless of the type of music you and your guests would like hear, we have it.
We work very closely with you to insure that the music for your event is perfect. For events such as wedding and receptions, music for the traditional and special events is carefully planned with you well before the event.
Florida Party Productions DJ's not only know how to entertain at your event, but also know the DJ tricks, like beatmixing and scratching, and that keep your dance floor packed if this is what the event calls for!

What kind of lighting effects do you use?
We have a variety of professional intelligent computer controlled lighting effects, stage lighting effects, club lighting effects, and lasers, which we carefully coordinate to your specific event needs. Our incredible lighting effects add an element of excitement and energy to any event. Fog effects are included with all lighting packages, unless prohibited by the venue.
Will I meet my DJ prior to my event?
The DJ you work with from the start, and through the event planning, is the DJ that will serve your event. This relationship is critically important to insure a perfect event. Be aware that there are DJ services who will send someone you’ve never met from a pool of part-time sub-contractors. Insist that the person you plan with will be the DJ who serves your event.
Will my DJ act as the master of ceremonies?
In addition to playing music, your DJ will act as master of ceremonies. Before your event, your DJ will work closely with you to plan the event, and will act as the master of ceremonies during the event. Our job is to make the music and entertainment for your event absolutely perfect. We will gladly handle any announcements and pride ourselves in our ability to keep your event organized and running smoothly.
Does my DJ take requests?
ABSOLUTELY! We bring our entire library every time and will gladly play appropriate requests that fit in with the style of the event. Your event is for the enjoyment of you and your guests, so don’t settle for a DJ that wants to play only what they like.
Will the music be appropriate for all ages?
YES*. We know the music, we know what is lyrically and content appropriate for each event, and the only music that will be played is what is appropriate for that specific event.
*DJC Entertainment's Florida Party Productions does events of all types, including nightclub style parties, large 21 and over dance events, and others, where the non-radio versions are what the attendees want. Rest assured that music inappropriate for your specific event will not be played at your event.
Will you purchase music requests that are not already available?
ABSOLUTELY! With over 80,000 song titles currently available the chances are that we already have your request. During the planning of your event, your DJ will discuss specific songs that you want, which we will obtain at no extra charge if not already in our library.
Can you play music that we provide, for things such as special performances?
Yes. Our equipment flexibility allows us to play your music in any common audio format. Please discuss your specific needs with your DJ prior to the event.
How will my DJ be dressed?
Whether your event is formal or casual, your DJ will always be dressed appropriately for the event. We are professionals.
Do you provide crowd participation activities?
Yes! For events such as weddings, most school dances, private parties, corporate events, and other events where games and contests are appropriate, we will do games and other fun activities that are designed to motivate and encourage your guests to have fun! We come prepared for fun, and with prizes for your event guests. No, we're not giving away a new Corvette, but our prizes are sure to be a hit!
What type of equipment do you use?
Florida Party Productions uses only the highest quality professional DJ, lighting, and sound equipment from high end manufacturers such as Denon, Peavy, Technics, Stanton, Cerwin Vega, American DJ, Crown, QSC, Numark, Martin, Chauvet, JBL, Mackie, and HP. All of our systems are designed by sound and lighting engineers for professional use. All of our speaker systems are specifically designed for crystal clear and powerful sound. We go one step further than many DJ services by designing our systems with redundant back-up of critital components such as amplifiers and CD players, so that no matter what, the show will go on!
Will I have a written contract?
Yes. You would never purchase any important item without a contract or guarantee. If your DJ is not willing to provide you with a written commitment, there must be a reason. Florida Party Productions is fully licensed and will always provide you with a written contract.
How much does your disc jockey services cost?
Variables such as number of event attendees, event location, time period of event, size of venue, etc. all are factors which must be considered in order for us to put together package options and prices. The set-up and equipment needed for an event with 3000 attendees is much different that that needed for a smaller event such as a house party. Our entertainment packages are carefully tailored to you specific event needs, and our rates are calculated based on all these factors. We will never try to upsell you to something you don't need or want, and the price we provide includes everything. Our clients generally tell us that we are among the most affordable rates that they have received, and that we offer more for that rate. I found another service that quoted me a cheaper rate than you.
Please beware, if a deal sounds too good to be true it probably is. We have heard countless horror stories of the “DJ” ruining an event partway through due to equipment malfunction, not having the music the guests want, boring the guests, and not having the experience to make the event a success. The most talked about aspect of just about every event is the music and entertainment, anything less than an experienced professional DJ with professional gear is asking for trouble.
There are many DJ services that do not have full time employees and instead contract part-time DJ's that do it on weekends as an extra job. There are certainly some good DJ's out there that DJ as a second job on weekends, however there are certainly a lot more who are not. A good DJ is much more than someone who shows up with some speakers and plays some music, a good DJ is an entertainer. A good DJ will read the crowd to know what to play, what to do, and when to play or do it, in order to make the event attendees have the best time. With DJ services that use part-time contracted DJ's, you may not meet your DJ until the day of your event, because it may not be known who can do it until shortly before. We have received last minute calls from clients of other services who were in a panic because their DJ did not show up for their wedding!
We are professionals who do this as a full time business. We feel that the relationship and planning that goes on between our client and DJ's is extremely important to the success of your event and our reputation. The DJ you meet with and work with from the beginning will be the DJ that is at your event.
What are my payment options?
We have flexible payment options. You may pay by credit card via PayPal, cash, check, or money order.
Do you require a deposit and when is it due?
We require a deposit of 25% of the contract price to book and lock your event date. Because dates are subject to availibility, we suggest that the contract and deposit be sent to us as soon as you have determined the specific date of your event. Public and private schools do not have to provide a deposit, but a date is not locked until the contract is received.
Are there any extra add-ons I'll need from my quoted price?
No, never! Your quoted price is the total price and includes everything. When comparing rates, make sure that this is also true with whoever you are comparing our rates with.
